Three years ago I suffered a massive traumatic brain injury and spent nine months in the hospital. I couldn’t balance or walk for eight and half of those months. The next year and a half I lived in assisted living. This series of paintings is my return to art, my return to life. My art is a discovery of myself through the chaos and trauma I experienced. There’s a resolution of chaos in the movement and texture of my work and an extreme exploration of color.
